Carmen and her dreams
Carmen and her dreams
I was just a novice on Slideshare mid last year.
I just wanted to understand what this web medium does.
I think Carmen was first to comment on my shows - she came just like out of blue to encourage me. Web does this to you and everybody. You need not see each other in person. There need not be a compelling reason, yet you do it based on what you feel important in the other fellow.
She comes from Costa Rica, end of the American continent. She lives in not a very diverse and cosmopolitan area, yet she is possessed by the best that is available in the modern world - The Internet. She has roots in the Costarican life and agriculture, but just cannot imagine what she would have done if there was no internet. She just loves it and loves powerfully.
She has contributed as many as 1300+ shows on the Slideshare. If one studies them all one can very well understand so many thoughts she must have undergone behind every slide in the show. She wants to share things she sees, hears, feels and she has it all in abundance. She might have her moments of pleasures and pains, wins and losses, getting and loosing - every thing a person undergoes in this world.
Everybody goes through such experiences, but what I could find different is that Carmen has not given up, has not resigned. She does not like to be praised or even recognized that she does it all - what I feel she likes to be connected and takes great pleasure in being able to share whatever good she comes across.
A life and mind which feels like this deserves a motivation - so far I was concerned number of viewers was a criteria for a poplarity and pleasure from it. This time Slideshare announced a contest and it will be a new criteria of people liking a contributor and his or her work.
A sense that you belong to so many people makes the daily burdens pleasuresome, motivates for more good things and you feel life fulfilled, ones does not worry about the negatives in a given life, oversomes it.
I would like and have done it and also request others also to share this joy by keeping on records of slideshare by acknowledging the struggles behind the work she is doing. I know her struggles have been helping so many people to look at the larger world and enjoy it.
